People really do care about their health these days. Well, the government does anyway and they try and spread this attitude among the general public.  Their thoughts are that if people are living healthy, hospitals won’t be as busy and people will generally be happier.  There are many ways to stay healthy, but they boil down to two things; eating right and exercising.

When it comes to eating right, there are real enthusiasts, people such Jamie Oliver do their best to encourage people to make that extra effort with their food, as not only can it be tastier, but is also far better for the body.  Even fast food companies such as McDonalds are making special efforts to encourage people to try their healthy eating range.  However it is still pretty obvious that these meals still will not be healthy as almost every other food that can found in a supermarket.

As far as exercise goes, there are many ways to get involved.  People often join the conventional sports teams, such as football, hockey, rugby and basketball.  But people can also join running and swimming clubs where they are not necessarily part of a team, but are part of group who encourage each other and spur each other on to lose those extra pounds. 

Some people love the camaraderie of teams and doing sports together, where others are more reserved and perhaps more self conscious, so prefer to do thing on their own.  This is also very possible now due to vast range of home exercise equipment that can be bought and used in the comfort of your own home.  So there really is no excuse for people to not get healthy now... other than laziness!
